Using Your Online Gallery From Jpop Photon
Your Gallery: Your online gallery yours to use and share. It will remain online for at least one year from publish date, however at this point I am not removing any galleries, even after many years. If that changes in the future, I will reach out to you to make sure you have a copy prior to archiving.
Photo Rights: The photos in this gallery are for personal use only - unless stipulated otherwise in a prior agreement. Please feel free to print, share on social media, download, etc… however use in advertisements, as stock photography, or for any commercial purpose whatsoever is strictly prohibited.
First Steps: The first step I would recommend, after viewing your gallery initially, is to download both web-size and full-size files of your entire collection, and place those files in a safe place, e.g. multiple thumb drives, your Dropbox account, an external hard disk, etc. To do this type of download, click the download button in the top menu bar of your site, and enter your email and the download code. You will see options for both size downloads. If your gallery has multiple pages, please make sure you select them all.
Download Code: You’ll receive a download code to your gallery - this can be shared with whomever you’d like! Please feel free to send it to friends/family/guests. Or, if you don’t want folks you share the gallery with to be able to download, you may keep the code private.
Modifying/password-protecting the site: If you’d like to be able to hide certain photos, or you’d like to password-protect your gallery (even by default, galleries are not public - you must know the specific URL to the gallery and it will not appear in search engine results), please reach out via email, I’m happy to make you a private login to your site.
Favorites/sending notes to Julius: Your gallery has a favorites/notes system built-in. Simply click the heart button on a photo to add it to your favorites list. If you’d like to manage your favorites, send me notes on specific photos (i.e. for retouching), or organize multiple lists of favorites to print later on, use the heart button in the main menu bar.
Printing: If your gallery has printing enabled, there are several options:
“Julius’ Workshop” in-house printing: This applies to black and white film only and will not be available on digital-only or color film collections - these are bespoke prints which I make one-by-one in my darkroom. using archival methods. For 4x5 and 8x10, cyanotype and salted paper (home-made photographic papers) are available print options. I use only fiber-based silver gelatin papers, and archival cotton rag for my home-made photographic papers
Digital Prints: These prints are produced by White House Custom Color and are extremely high quality. This is a great cost-effective option for digital prints of your photos
Printing at home/your print shop: If you’d like to download and print your photos at your home, or send them in to a print shop that you love, please don’t hesitate! I strongly encourage you to support your local print shop. If you are in Tucson, I would recommend Centric Photo, their work is spectacular and they will consult with you to make sure your print is everything it can be - if you’re in Tucson this is what I would recommend for heirloom-quality prints.
